SHELF LENGTHS (What Size & What Will I Need):

4 ft. & 6 ft. shelf lengths are only available in a closet organizer. All single shelves are sold in 8 ft. lengths.

To hang a shelf length you will need to buy L-CLIP HARDWARE & SHELF END HARDWARE. If the shelf is not attached to a sidewall on one or both sides, you will also need to purchase ANGLE BRACKETS for underside support.

L-CLIP HARDWARE (How many & What For):

L-Clip hardware is installed on the wall and required to secure the back of the shelf. L-Clips are typically placed every 16" & secured to wall stud. If no Stud is present, use 50# Drywall Anchors

Typically you will use ONE L-CLIP HARDWARE KIT PER 8 FT. SHELF SPAN.

SHELF END HARDWARE (How many & What For):

Shelf End hardware is required to support the front of the shelf rail to a side wall, a Tower side or a opposing shelf to extend shelf spans. If you are not connecting the end of a shelf to a sidewall, tower or to another shelf you will not need a shelf end but instead you will use angle brackets.

Typically you will use TWO SHELF ENDS PER SHELF SPAN.

VERTICAL CLIP HARDWARE (How many & What For):

For 12" Standard Closet Use: Vertical Clip hardware is used to connect a Garment Bar (when used vertically) to the top shelf rail and bottom shelf rail.

For 12" Premier & 16" Deluxe Closet Use: Vertical Clip hardware is used to secure the top of a tower side to a shelf slat.

Typically you will use FOUR VERTICAL CLIPS FOR EACH USE.

HANGING METAL BAR (How & What Will I Need):

To hang a metal garment bar you will need to purchase J-HOOK KITS, BAR END CAP KITS & ANGLE BRACKET KITS. See J-Hooks & Angle Brackets for more information.

HANGING WOOD BAR (How & What Will I Need):

To hang a wood garment bar you will need to purchase BAR SPACER KITS. See Bar Spacer Kits for more information.

J-HOOKS (How many & What For):

J-Hooks are attached to angle brackets and used to hold metal garment bars.

Typically you will use:

TWO J-HOOKS FOR A 72" OR BELOW BAR SPAN

THREE J-HOOKS FOR A 73" TO 98" BAR SPAN

FOUR J-HOOKS FOR A 99" TO 120" BAR SPAN

BAR END CAP (How many & What For):

Bar end caps are attached to the ends of metal bars to prevent a hanger from sliding off.

Typically you will use TWO BAR END CAPS PER BAR.

WOOD BAR SPACER (How many & What For):

Wood Bar spacers hold the wood garment bar to the wood shelf. They are secured into the back of the garment bar & the back of the shelf rail.

Typically you will use:

TWO BAR SPACERS FOR A 48" OR BELOW BAR SPAN

THREE BAR SPACERS FOR A 48" OR ABOVE" BAR SPAN

ANGLE BRACKETS (How many & What For):

Angle Brackets are used to provide additional support, provide J-Hook attachment and allow for free hanging shelves (those with no sidewall attachment).

When using angle brackets for hanging metal bars,  you will need one angle bracket for every J-hook and visa-versa

Typically you will use:

TWO ANGLE BRACKETS FOR A 72" OR BELOW SHELF OR BAR SPAN

THREE ANGLE BRACKETS FOR A 73" TO 98" SHELF OR BAR SPAN

FOUR ANGLE BRACKETS FOR A 99" TO 120" SHELF OR BAR SPAN
